Site Policies

Netomata, Inc. hosts this web site, as well as related services such as mailing lists and the Netomata wiki, to support the community of people who are interested in our products, services, and associated issues (such as automated network management, independent of any particular product or service). Together, these services make up the Netomata forums.

We believe that all participants in these forums benefit from basic guidelines governing what is expected of them and what they should expect of others. These guidelines are not intended to be all encompassing, but should be sufficient to guarantee basic civility among users and the smooth functioning of these forums.

In general, these are public forums, and materials published here are available for use by third parties via archives, persistent data caches, and other mechanisms. Such uses (or abuses) by third parties are beyond Netomata's control, and Netomata cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect consequences of any such use or abuse.

These forums exist to provide a place for users to freely share and discuss what they have learned and created. Contributions to these forums (such as written posts and code samples) are assumed to be offered for the benefit of others to use freely and without charge for any purpose in perpetuity. If a contributor submits materials to these forums that are not available on these terms, then it is their responsibility to state this explicitly in their posting and provide a permanent link to the applicable license terms. If the materials are not your own, please provide appropriate attribution and a link to their source. It is the responsibility of participants posting materials to secure any required permissions prior to posting. When republishing materials from these forums, please provide a link back to the original post in the forum archive or wiki.
